Irish Beekeeper was founded by James Moloney, who developed a deep passion for bees under the guidance of his father, Master Beekeeper Jim Moloney. Growing up surrounded by the hum of Native Irish Honey Bees at his father’s apiary in Waterford, James inherited not only a love for beekeeping but also a commitment to preserving these essential pollinators. 

Inspired by his father’s legacy, James started Irish Beekeeper, to both continue the tradition of sustainable beekeeping with a focus on Native Irish Honey Bees and the creation of premium grade hives & beekeeping equipment. James' journey, rooted in generations of craftsman, now sees him building both beehives & apiaries with his own son Paddy continuing to honour the role of the bee in both nature and community.
